Letter from the Editor
Dear Reader,
Fall is upon us! Though from where I am, Irvine, California is still unbelievably hot, I hope you are snuggling up in cozy blankets and warming your fingers with a hot cup of chai in the fall spirit (I might be biased. Fall is my favorite season). Regardless, Reader, I hope that wherever you are, hot, cold, or warm, you are comfortably surrounded by the love of your friends and family. That is the true spirit of fall, I believe.
This issue encourages you to think about the things that don’t seem so obvious right now. In an effort to start the school year off strong, schoolwork and extracurriculars might be occupying all the thinking space we have. But on behalf of the editorial team at Pixel Journal, I invite you to read and reflect on the other parts of life that are often glossed over—cherished moments with friends, gratitude for your favorite OHS instructor, and music playlists blending hearty tunes and nostalgic beats.
Take a look behind the scenes of OHS to learn more about the process of building StartUp, or the editors behind our monthly issues. These articles are meant to take you on a brief pause from writing your midterm paper and look at life from a more appreciative perspective. I hope you find reading this issue as special as it was for me, putting it together.
Warmly,
LanLan
