Introduction to the 2025-2026 Editorial Board
Meet our new editorial board for the 2025-2026 school year!
LanLan Huang ‘27, Assistant Editor-in-Chief
Hi everyone!
I’m LanLan, the Assistant Editor-in-Chief for the Pixel Journal. I am currently a single-course junior (taking Neuroscience!) and in my 3rd year at OHS. Besides writing for PJ’s monthly issues, I love, love to read. Especially under the sun. Living in SoCal is such a blessing because of the proximity to beaches and sunny weather all year round. Please reach out with your book recs :) It has been an honor working alongside Rachael so far this year managing the Pixel Journal, and I’m incredibly excited for what awaits ahead. This community is full of talent and bright ideas, and I know I’ll be reading it through your articles soon. I’ll be writing with you as well, reporting on a diversity of stories as a means of bridging the OHS community.
Best, LanLan
Ellie Shen ‘27, Culture Editor
Dear Reader,
My name is Ellie and I'm looking forward to being the Culture Editor of Pixel Journal this year! I am a junior from NorCal and currently in my 5th year of OHS. Academically, I'm really interested in exploring the intersection between chemistry and environmental science. I also enjoy hiking, drawing, and taking care of my adorable pet bird, Pico. As Culture Editor, I aim to ensure every student feels represented within the diverse OHS community. Feel free to reach out to me with article ideas, whether they involve local meetups, OHS events, or unique clubs. Excited for this year of PJ!

Hello, my name is Harper Bruner. I am a full-time junior at OHS. I am a member of the Pixel Podcast club, Student Ambassador team, and the Community Engagement Editor for the Pixel Journal. Outside of school, I play competitive tennis and enjoy volunteering with local organizations.
Izzy Nguyen ‘27, Stories Editor
Dear Reader,
Hi! My name is Izzy and I'm looking forward to being a Stories Editor for the Pixel Journal. I'm a junior at OHS, and I love reading and writing---especially pieces about social justice and sci-fi. Outside of school, I enjoy cooking okra, listening to music, and organizing a tier list for fries.
As a Stories Editor, I’m excited to read the stories you all share. Everyone has unique thoughts and experiences, and I’m really glad the OHS community gets to learn from each other through these articles.
If you have any questions or need feedback on something you're working on, feel free to reach out!
