20th Anniversary

Graduation Weekend:

Stanford OHS Graduation Weekend is coming! It is not only a time of celebration for the hardworking seniors and a milestone for 8th graders, but also a wonderful opportunity for students, families, instructors, staff, and alumni to gather together on Stanford's campus. We will also be celebrating Stanford OHS's 20th anniversary!

The Pixel Gathering and Graduation Weekend will take place from June 5-7, 2026. Registration will begin on Thursday, June 4th from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM and continue on the next day, Friday, June 5th from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Registration will take place at the Palo Alto Sheraton. Please note that earplugs will be available at loud events. Furthermore, dietary and allergy accommodations are available, if needed. Please note any restrictions on the registration form. Chill zones and silent rooms will be available where possible.

A range of events will take place on Friday, June 5th, from 1:00 PM to 7:30 PM. First, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM is Stanford OHS's annual Field Day. Join all OHS students in games such as kickball, ultimate frisbee, and dodge ball, or play board games and do arts and crafts.

Please make sure to wear the designated class colors:

  • Middle school- Yellow

  • Freshman- White

  • Sophomores- Green

  • Juniors- Blue

  • Seniors- Red

Remember to bring a hat and wear sunscreen!

Next, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, all guests, including alumni, founding families, and staff from the early days of OHS, will gather together at the Traitel Building to celebrate Stanford OHS's 20th anniversary. The event will feature:

  • OHS Through the Years Presentation at Hauck Auditorium

  • Appetizers and buffet dinner

  • Pixel-themed games and craft stations

  • OHS club tables

  • Guest and yearbook signing

  • Photo booth to commemorate the evening

  • Special guest Pixel

During this period the seniors and instructors will have an exclusive dinner together at the Stanford Faculty Club from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. The event is open to all Stanford OHS seniors, and the dress code is business casual.

The next day, Saturday, June 6th is packed with various exciting events! The day will begin with a Parent & Guardian Breakfast with OHS admin and alumni at Palo Alto Sheraton Justine’s Ballroom from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. Unfortunately, students/children are not allowed at the breakfast, and Stanford OHS is not able to provide accommodations. Please plan accordingly.

Next, a student showcase will take place from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Hauck Auditorium. New and returning families are welcome to check out the talents of our OHS pixels! Students have the chance to sign up to perform.

From 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM newly admitted OHS students and families are invited to meet current OHS students and families, learn more about the school, and build connections. After a brief welcome, students will break into small groups to meet with members of Student Government and parents will break into groups to chat with Parent Association reps and current family members. This will take place at the Traitel Building.

Meanwhile, 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM is an allotted time for unstructured connections. Students and families are encouraged to use this time to spend time with other OHS families and students.

Another very exciting event, especially for the 8th graders, is the 8th grade promotion to high school! The promotion and reception will run from 2:00 PM-4:30 PM. This event is open to all guests. No food or drink (except reusable water bottles) is permitted in the Hauck Auditorium. All 8th graders participating in the promotion should arrive at 2:00 PM for rehearsal. The promotion will begin at 2:30 PM. The event will be live streamed for those unable to attend.

Next, from 6:30 PM to 9:45 PM, the Middle Schoolers have an exclusive party at HyperSpace Los Altos. Middle School students will be bussed from Stanford to HyperSpace and back for a private party featuring arcade games, pizza, and fun! Pick up will be on Memorial Way (side street beside the alumni center) at 6:30pm. Students will be dropped off (after the event) at the same location at 9:45pm. Make sure you have a plan for picking up.

Concurrently, there will be a family dinner for parents, guardians, and students from 7:00 PM to 9:30 PM at Fairweather Patio, along with trivia! Teams of up to 10 players will engage in a battle of wits for highly sought after OHS swag prizes! Trivia will begin at 8pm.

Lastly, the High School prom will occur from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. This will take place at the McCaw Hall and is only for high school students and their registered guests. Board games and a quiet room will be available. A flashlight walk will also be offered beginning at 8:00 PM. Once checked into the prom, students will not be permitted to leave until 10:00 PM without an adult physically present.

The next day, June 7th, will begin with a graduation rehearsal for diploma seniors. This is from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM and will take place at the Memorial Auditorium. Non-diploma seniors should plan to arrive at 10:30 AM, and will be granted access to a special section of the auditorium. Preferred seating will open at 10:40 AM. General seating for families begins at 10:50 AM . Seniors should make sure to bring their regalia, but stoles will be handed out upon arrival. Please eat prior to arrival.

Join us as we celebrate and bid farewell to our hardworking seniors, honoring their journey, accomplishments, and everything they’ve contributed during their time with us! The event will begin at 11:00 AM and will run until 2:30 PM at the Memorial Auditorium. The event will be livestreamed for those who are unable to attend. No food or drink is permitted in the auditorium. Following the ceremony, help us send the class of ‘26 off in style! All are welcome on the Fairweather Patio to enjoy appetizers and drinks, say goodbye to friends and instructors, and take photos. Shade will be limited at the reception. Plan ahead, bring a hat and wear sunscreen! A photographer will be present to take senior and family photos.

The Stanford OHS community will come together for this special weekend of celebration, fun, and farewells, honoring our seniors, 8th graders, 20 years of Stanford OHS, and all of our wonderful Pixels. We look forward to seeing you there!
